I tried to make it to daycare before the storm hit, but I didn't make it. In my car I had the dilemma; do I sit in the car at daycare and wait out the storm, do I go and run in and out with him even in the thick of the storm, or do I wait it out at home and go get him when it passes? I chose the last option, thinking it was safest for everyone and conveniently, daycare is a mile from the house. I had a lovely 45 minutes of drinking a banana smoothie while thumbing through Cook's Illustrated. Usually the end of the work day begins errands, chores and dinner...I think I made a good choice!
