Vacation Journal: Day 7

Monday:
We had a good sleep-in today and a slow-moving morning. Plans shifted several times when Ted was about to take the truck to the gym only to discover it was out of gas. The three of us rode to the gas station (in the Rodeo) and the library. We then went with Granny and Karen to Offshore Ale for another Lobster roll, just as delicious as the first.

Granny wanted to get some table clothes of her own and she made a fine selection.

Ted stayed in town for the gym and the rest of us went on to the grocery store. When we got home Hudson and I played in the brook and inside while granny visited with her friend Fran and the other ladies went to the library.
No nap today, by the time Ted got home we both got ready for our date night!
I fully appreciate, and take advantage of, offers by generous family members to babysit so Ted and I can get out! Hudson had a blast eating bowl after bowl of macaroni and cheese, and making chocolate chip cookies. Ted and enjoyed our quiet and casual dinner at the Wharf in Edgartown and came back in time to join the family in watching The Big Year, which we all found charming.

The last day of vacation is always a bit sad but I try to focus on being grateful for the fun we had! We have a three day weekend coming right up and Ted and I have a Babymoon getaway in a few weeks so there's still lots to look forward to!
