Is there anything more pathetic/precious than a toddler that laughs and cries at the same time?! I don't mean laughing so much he cries. I mean so conflicted in his emotions that he can't decide what to do so he does both. Ted and I just laugh. Poor Hudson can't seem to fall asleep these days without putting up quite a fight, he's clearly tired and where it used to take maybe 5 minutes for him to be in la-la land, it's now almost two hours. We've tried so many interventions, but mostly I think it's just a phase, a phase in which I am grateful he is at least pleasant during the day at school even though he's not in the mornings or evenings with us!
