Sunday = Football

When Ted said the Redskins first game of the season was going to be this Sunday at 1, my first thought was, 'Let's have friends over!' Yes, we usually loose steam as the season wears on, but hey, we might as well celebrate the start!
Sunday was a beautiful day, low humidity, high of 80, perfect! We decided to grill some sausages, onions and peppers, and corn on the cob. While I prepped I cranked Pandora radio over my phone and wireless speakers and was feeling fabulous; friends and food at home, what more could you want? Friends brought salad and buffalo chicken dip.

We all knew the game was at 1 bit we didn't solidify what time everyone was coming over. This made grilling a little dicey, but ultimately I timed it to be done by one, and if they weren't here yet, they were missing hot food AND kick off!

The timing of the game was also dicey; 1 o'clock is usually nap time. So we debated putting Hudson to bed before everyone arrived (opps, no time for that, we were too busy prepping!). OR halftime, or not at all? We went with not at all, he didn't do too bad, but he definitely wasn't as into the game as we were, and covered his ears at every loud cheer. (Which there were a lot of, we scored 40 points after all!) Thankfully, good friends all took turns entertaining!

It was fun having friends over, eating too much, and rooting for the team together. Can't you just tell this is a loveable, fun bunch?! Hope your Sunday was relaxing too!
